Greeny Corner

Greeny Corner is a cross-platform mobile app and bilingual web platform I built and led end-to-end — from product roadmap to App Store launch. As Project Manager: defined the product vision, scoped all features, ran Agile sprints, coordinated the cross-functional team (mobile developer, UI/UX designer, backend), managed client sign-offs at every milestone, and drove the App Store & Play Store submission process. As Tech Lead & Architect: • Mobile (iOS & Android): React Native with Expo SDK 54 — write once, run on both platforms. JavaScript, Firebase Auth (Google, Apple, email/password), Expo Notifications for watering reminders, Expo Camera & Image Picker for plant identification. EAS cloud builds for iOS; local Gradle builds for Android. • Website (greenycorner.ae): Next.js 16, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, Firebase Auth, i18next for Arabic/English with full RTL support, deployed on Vercel. • Backend: Laravel (PHP) REST API with Firebase Admin for token verification. The app is now live on the Apple App Store (UAE) with a 5-star rating.

Solution

Rather than building separate native codebases, I used React Native with Expo SDK 54 to ship one codebase to both iOS and Android, backed by a Laravel REST API for plant identification and Firebase for authentication and push notifications. The companion Next.js 16 website shares the same bilingual Arabic/English RTL experience as the app.

Outcome

Greeny Corner shipped as one coordinated product — mobile app, backend, and website — built and launched by a single PM/tech lead. It's live on the Apple App Store in the UAE with a 5-star rating, and EAS cloud builds for iOS alongside local Gradle builds for Android mean both platforms ship from the same codebase going forward.
